Acclaimed Odissi dancer Saswat Joshi was invited to perform at Maharaja Kansha’s darbaar during Bargarh Dhanu Yatra. He received a letter informing that he would be a part of the historical Dhanu Yatra. King Kansha in his signature style ordered him to give an exam there itself so that his Mathura Audience will watch him and get entertained.

“My team of Lasyakala was there with me and we danced on a Maa Samalei Bhajan. Maharaja Kansha praised me on the performance and it was my fortune to present my art in the world’s biggest open air theatre” shares Saswat.

Those who have not physically witnessed the Bargarh Dhanu Yatra will not be able to understand its grandeur and magnificence. “I feel really lucky to have been a part of such a grand celebration”, Saswat signs off.
