Eighty poems, each of them making a statement, varied in theme, rich in style and a deep philosophical understanding behind every piece of poetry – that can take the muse to unfathomable heights.

Sarita Jenamani’s love for  sensible poetry is beyond question. The only question is where will these senses ultimately take her? As Dr K Satchidanandan noted poet has said, ‘ these (poems)are subtle and suggestive meditations on time, mind and ephemeral nature of human existence on this little planet.’

Dr Helmuth A.Niederle, eminent Austrian poet has similar sentiments. He compares Sarita’s poems with the ‘threads of a spider.’

Sarita’s ouvre extends to three poetry collections. She is a widely published poet and her poetry has been translated into several languages – India as well as foreign. Her association with PEN and her paricipation in  poetry festivals across continents – all have made her a strong voice. Equally, her hunt for the roots and dedication to the language she has matured up with shows her indomitable spirit for the muse.

‘Till the Next Wave Comes’ doesn’t have a prologue nor an afterthought. It straight goes straight  to the heart. Some poems have simple truths as this one:

Shells

Conches

some pebbles

or

forgetfully- left-behind gifts

everything brings
