Birla School of Law (BSoL), Birla Global University, Bhubaneswar, organized the Commencement Day to welcome its 2nd batch of BBA, LL.B (Hons) students at its Gothapatana Campus on 17th July 2019.
The programme was graced by Hon’ble Justice A S Naidu, former judge of Odisha High Court and former member of the National Green Tribunal, as Chief Guest and Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice Chancellor of National Law University Cuttack, as the Guest of Honour. While delivering the Commencement Day address, Justice Naidu advised the students to be sincere with their studies. He said that justice can only be secured when good judges and good lawyers contribute equally.
Prof. Srikrishna Deva Rao, the Guest of Honour, advised the students to work hard. He spoke about how the present system of legal education was adopted during the 80’s by the Bar Council of India. Prof. Sudhakar Panda, Vice Chancellor of Birla Global University, assured the students that they will enjoy their stay during their studentship here. The Registrar of BGU Dr B.K. Das, stated that the Birla Global University stands for quality and assured that all attempts shall be made to provide them the best of legal education. Dr. Parameswar Nayak, Dean of BSoM, advised the students to be honest and sincere. Prof. Lalit Kumar Deb, Dean of BSoL, delivered the welcome address and spoke about the importance of legal education. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Ashna Siddiqui, Faculty of BSoL.
