It is believed that a doctor is another life saver after God and this time it is proven by a doctor who came a long way to save a pregnant tribal lady.
Dr. Omkar Hota, recently grabbed attention on the internet for his tremendous work and fight for saving life of a mother and her baby.
Informs Dr. Omkar Hota, “Someone informed me about the pregnant lady and her critical condition in the area of Malkangri where 102 ambulance is not able to reach due to unavailability of road”.
Dr. Omkar Hota went to the remote place on his bike till the end of the road and then started walking to the village. After reaching there he checked the condition of the lady but the condition was very critical for both of them (mother and baby). Somehow Omkar managed to get the baby safe but the mother was bleeding, her pulse decreasing and she needed proper care immediately but no villagers were ready to help.
Her husband and I put her on a cot and carried her across the land and reached the hospital in two and half hours, the asha-karmi was carrying the baby. I was also monitoring and checking her throughout the journey.
“I was doing my work and treated her as a doctor, if she was not brought in time she could have died, I m happy to save her and there is nothing great in it”, said Omkar.
As the young doctor did not need any media attention and limelight, he received best doctor award and Chief Minister Naveen patnaik expressed desire to meet him.
“It’s my job to save lives and work for poor and needy & I am 24/7 available for my patients”, said Omkar.
