On the eve of Father’s Day 2017, Parichay Foundation, a leading NGO of the state will be felicitating male achievers of different domains for their outstanding contribution to the society.

Uniquely titled ‘Shrie Awards’ the event is taking place for the second time in the city which is to be graced by Bollywood fame and politician Shatrughan Sinha. Scheduled at Hotel Crown on 17th June, Saturday 5PM the ceremony is going to felicitate fourteen Odia achievers from different parts of the globe.

“It is our immense pleasure to appreciate our own Odia personalities for their large contribution to the society in different fields. Especially Shrie Awards appreciates both the nationally and internationally acclaimed achievers as well as other champions who are lesser known in comparison to their greater contribution” says Mrs. Rosalin Patsani Mishra, founder Parichay Foundation.

Parichay Foundation started an award ceremony that stood out from the rest because for the first time, an attempt was made to felicitate men achievers from across different fields and different parts of the globe for their exemplary work in the field of Social Service, Health, Education, Art & Culture, Sports, Media, Entrepreneurship and others.

Parichay is doing unparalleled work in promoting Indian art and culture and bringing about economic and social upliftment for the underprivileged in urban and rural slums of Odisha and Delhi and has always stood for the cause of women empowerment, in its journey of 10 years.

The foundation has also launched several programmes for the upliftment of women, mostly from financially weaker backgrounds. Their flagship project, ‘Alaknanda Scholarship Programme’ aims at helping drop-out girl students from underprivileged sections of the society complete their matriculation examination under National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).

Parichay has also been organising Aarya Awards since 5years to felicitate and encourage women achievers from different fields every year. However, the foundation strongly believes that men and women complement each other in every sphere of life. While Aarya Awards celebrate women, Shrie Awards value men for their contributions.

As the saying goes, men and women are two sides of the same coin and men too need to be encouraged for all the good work they do in various fields.
