Namrata Das, Sanghamitra Mishra, Shantilata Barik Chhotray and Kalpana Das to be conferred with the First ‘Charan Sparsh Award’
Social Organization Kanyaa Anmol Hai (KAH) known for its work on protecting girl child has designed an innovative programme to felicitate outstanding women for their inspiring work. Named appropriately as ‘Charan Sparsh’, this initiative has been created to present a platform that celebrates the life, work and legacy of living women who prove to be the legends of Odisha. The women, who have played a key role to inspire the girls and women from generations in Odisha and beyond to excel in different professions, Also to be the examples in personal lives by contributing to social reforms and in being resilient during unpredictable challenges.
The Doyen of Odia devotional songs Ms. Shantilata Barik Chhotray, Legendary Mountaineer Ms. Kalpana Das, Inspiring teacher and literary genius Dr. Sanghamitra Mishra and Veteran Odia actress Ms. Namrata Das were unanimously chosen by the jury for their excellent work in different fields. The award will be conferred in a special program on 23rd December 2018.
Mr. Saroj Dash, the National Coordinator of KAH feels a strong need to celebrate the life and work of our women to inspire our next generation of women. Sasmita Dash (Founder), Amiyabala Parida(President), AnshuTripathy (Co-Chairperson), ArchanaPanigrahi, Sagar Dash (Coordinator), Suryanarayan Mohanty will also be present at the occasion.
