Commendation to “Son of Soil”
Bijayanananda Patnaik, well known as Biju Patnaik and commonly known as Biju Babu, is an outstanding personality, a heroic attitude, popular freedom fighter, renowned politician, successful industrialist, an aeronautic engineer and navigator. He achieved his name and fame through his hard work and dedication to serve the state. On his birth anniversary political leaders paid heartily tribute to him.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and other political leaders paid floral glorification to the statue of Biju Babu at forest park, Bhubaneswar. The people of Odisha also observe this occasion as “panchayati raj divas”
To pay a rich commendation to the legend on his 103rd birth anniversary, chief minister Naveen Patnaik planned to launch ‘gharey gharey Sankha: Matamata dianti apana, palana karanti naveen.’ According to this program, the first phase calls for the public opinion on the presentation of state government. In the second phase public can give their valuable opinion about what they want and the government to do if they support the ruling party.
This campaign tries to reach all over Odisha and chief minister has instructed all the employees to make this program a success. A Mini marathon has also been organized by the sports and youth affair department on this special occasion Biju Jayanti. The marathon starts from the forest park and ends at the Kalinga stadium.
