Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Balangir district today. A program has been planned at the Patharachepa ground to address the Mission Shakti conclave. Various self help groups from Balangir and Subarnpur district will attend this program. The mission shakti program contain various activities like LED bulb making, running buses under Biju Gaon Gadi, supplying take-home ration under the ICDS programme, electricity meter reading and civil construction that has transformed the lives of at least 70 lakh women organized into 6 lakh SHGs.
Approximately 70 lakh women organize 6 lakh self help groups will attend this program. Chief Minister announce Mission Shakti loan for self help groups. Every SHG is eligible to take loans up to Rs 3 lakh at an effective zero per cent interest rate. All kinds of security arrangements have been set by the district administration on the visit of chief minister.
