The Odisha Tourism has launched a dedicated website www.odishatravelbazar.com and released the logo, today, to brand the forthcoming Odisha Travel Bazaar 2017 event globally.

Odisha Tourism in association with Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is organising the 3-day Odisha Travel Bazaar from 15th – 17th October 2017 at Bhubaneswar.

Ashok Chandra Panda, Tourism Minister along with Principal Secretary, Tourism Mona Sharma and Tourism Director Nitin Jawale, Government of Odisha; HRAO Chairman JK Mohanty, FICCI Odisha Head Sanjeev Kumar Mohanty and FICCI Odisha Assistant Director Pinky Poddar were present in the occasion.

The other senior HRAO members who attended the event include Debashish Patnaik, Director Hotel Crown and Soubhagya Mohapatra, Executive Director, Mayfair Hotels and Resorts.

About 40 foreign Tour Operators, 20 inbound Operators, 10 domestic Tour Operators and selected Air Line Operators are likely to participate in the event, the officials informed.

This would be an exclusive B2B affair of hosted buyers and sellers where 56 stakeholders from the state are taking part as sellers.

Odisha Tourism aims to create adequate infrastructure within the state, attract more tourists, lengthen their stay in Odisha and promote its products in the source markets as a preferred destinations globally. Keeping view on these objectives multiple events have been lined up like IATO Annual Convention during 7th – 10th September and Odisha Travel Bazaar in October 2017.

The State Tourism department is redefining its strategies to endorse its destinations by inviting more Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Travel Writers and Media through its hospitality programmes to educate them about the tourism potentials of Odisha.

To promote this event nationally, one road show has been organised at New Delhi on 22nd August. Another road show is planned in Mumbai shortly the official release mentioned.
