 About CNG

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is least polluting and most environment friendly because it does not contain impurities like lead and sulphur. It is lighter and rises upwards on leakage. CNG is safer due to 585 degrees Celcius ingnition temperature and also economical. These features make CNG a Happy Fuel for all.

CNG scooters, earlier available only in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune will now be available in smart city Bhubaneswar. GAIL has associated with Bank of Maharashtra and Punjab National Bank, among others to set up a financing scheme for consumers to convert their two wheelers to CNG.  The scheme will enable a user to pay an EMI of Rs. 500 every month. The transport Commissioner of Odisha has already identified three such kit manufactures and the manufacturers have identified their dealers in Bhubaneswar.

Awareness programmes have also been held in the city for Auto Rickshaw Drivers and Owners to continue such initiatives and ensure a smooth transmission to CNG for the vehicles.
