Rotary Club of Puri was installed recently by NALCO CMD Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand. He praised the collective effort of the rotary clubs of Puri and called upon the Rotarians to work with “Mission & Passion” to bring about a positive and visible change in the community. He said, “The four Rotary Clubs of Puri can come together to work towards this goal, so that the visibility of Rotary is evident in the iconic shrine city of Puri.’’
Addressing the Installation Ceremony of the Rotary Club of Srikshetra, Puri, Dr. Chand, said, “Rotary Clubs need to join hands with the Government and corporate sector to take up sustainable projects for the improvement of this historic city of tourism and pilgrimage”. “Rotarians must imbibe in letter and spirit the motto of Rotary – Service above Self”, he further added.
Congratulating the new President of the Club, Ajit Kumar Mohapatra, Dr. Chand appreciated the good work being done by the Rotarians of Puri in the areas of literacy, health and sanitation. Mrs. Preeti Roy Chand, the Guest of Honour, inducted the new members of the club and inaugurated the Souvenir. The outgoing President Judhisthir Lenka highlighted the service projects carried out by the Rotary Club during the previous year.
