Governor Prof. Ganeshi lal and Freedom Fighter Gour Hari Das to grace the evening

  • 20 awards will be presented
  • Biopic on Gaur Hari Dastaan by Anant Mahadevan would be screened

Odia Media is going to organize the inaugural Odisha Excellence Award Ceremony on 15th October 2018, 6 pm at Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar.

Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal and well-known freedom fighter Sri. Gour Hari Das will join the occasion  as esteemed guests.

At the press meet,  Odia Media director, Author and Journalist  Subhransu Panda announced the names of guests and awardees in the  presence of members  of organizing committee.

17 Odia personalities and 3 institutions will be awarded with Odisha Excellence Award 2018 for their excellence in respective fields. Devdas Chhotray for Literature, Sampad Mohapatra for Journalism, actor Mihir Das for Cinema, income tax commissioner Sarat Kumar Das for Public Service, Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi secretary Manas Kumar Jena for Art, Tenon group COO Sangam Dhar for Leadership.

Similarly, Prem Anand for Music, poet-activist Sankar Parida for Language, Dr. Anita Panda for Health Service, Sudhir Dash for Environment, Sarat Chandra Bhadra for Culture, Rabi Satpathy being the Youth Icon, Pandit Matruprasad Mishra for Philosophy and Religion, Biplab Jena for Social Service, Surya Mohanty for Theatre, Dr. Monica Das for Education and Swagat Routray for Skill Development will receive Odisha Excelence Award 2018.

Likewise Swosti Group for excellence in Hospitality, JSPL Foundation for its Sustainable Social Development Initiatives and Adyant College for excellence in Education will be awarded.  Swosti Group Director Jitendra Kumar Mohanty, JSPL Vice President Prashant Kumar Hota and Adyant Founder Ajay Bahadur Singh will be receiving these awards on stage.

After the award ceremony, GOUR HARI DASTAAN, a Bollywood biopic made by Anant Mahadevan and based on the life Struggle of Gour Hari Das will be screened.

A souvenir comprising the excellence and inspirational stories of awardees will be launched during the event.

Social activist Suchismita Prusty, Subhendu Das, poet Girish Ranjan, artist Ashok Nayak and many other members from the organizing committee were also present at the press meet and briefed the media about the festival.
