Ghalib has applied for passport in 2012 but was denied by the Court. He has an Aadhar card and very proudly shows it to media. He wants the Government to provide him the passport so that he can possibly pursue his studies abroad.

Ghalib credits his mother Tabassum, for creating an isolated space for him to study and keeping him away from the harsh comments of the society after his father’s conviction. He also acknowledges his grandfather, a post-graduation degree holder whom he believes to be an inspiration.

Afzal Guru

He hails from the Baramulla village where he stays with his family. Baramulla comes under the 44 Rashtriya Rifles security after the incident of Burhan-Wani Violence. This is a great turn when the son is requesting for the passport believing himself to be a proud Indian whereas the suicide bomber of Pulwama attack blew a CRPF Convoy to avenge Afzal Guru’s conviction who was an integral asset of Jaish-e-Mohammad.
