Apple to announce its streaming TV service today in Apple Event
Apple is all set to launch its new video streaming service in Show Time event, an event hosted by Apple Inc., today at Cupertino, California. Unlike previous events from Apple, this event will solely focus on Apple’s services and there will be no new hardware announcements.
The event will be hosted from Steve Jobs Theatre at Apple Park. It can be watched LIVE at 10:00 PM IST in Apple Event. The link to watch the event online is apple.com/apple-events/live stream. Apple will also stream the event live in its official Twitter handle.
According to reports, Apple with its new video streaming service could disrupt the market of Netflix, Amazon Prime and other video streaming services because of its features of fresh and new content and inputs from CBS and Showtime.
A paid-for news and magazine subscription service, integrated into the Apple News App, is also likely to be launched in this event today. But this service may not go worldwide immediately. According to a report of Bloomberg, Apple may also launch credit card in this occasion.
This is the biggest strategic move by Apple Inc. since its first iPhone was unveiled in 2007. After that Apple continued to launch new products with new features from time to time but this is its maiden entry in Video streaming services.
