National Award-Winning Odia film maker Akshay Parija recently announced his new creative school which is going to start operations. Akshay Parija Productions, his own production house will now scout for talent in the fields of Acting, Direction, Editing, Script Writing, Modelling, Designing, Cinematography and Art Direction. The production banner is scheduled to make multi-lingual films, Tele serials and web series in future.
Mr. Parija is a reputed film and tele serial maker cum entrepreneur from Odisha. His creative school will hunt for talented persons to hone their creative skills and help enrich the industry at large as well as use the talent for their own production needs.
Announcing the acting and film making school of Odisha, “Creative Training Centre” (CTC), Mr. Akshay Kumar Parija, said “as the objective is to make good quality full-fledged films, web-series, ad films and different short films in coming years, there is a need to identify and groom people with different qualitative talents in the respective areas. A talent bank has to be developed in Odisha”.
The centre is planning to take about 32 participants in the first batch. Students will be provided with high quality theory as well as practical training in ongoing films and serials. Deserving candidates would be assured of full employment after successful completion of the training course.

Akshay Kumar Parija is a reputed filmmaker having Multiple National Award-winning films, blockbuster commercial films and highly rated Tele-serials to his credit. His film Kadvi Hawa advocating action against global warming and climate change won the President’s Award at 64th National Film Awards.Similarly, his other film Jianta Bhuta (The Living Ghost) depicting the loss of environment and decreasing number of ethnic Dongria Kondh tribe of Odisha due to excessive mining in the Niyamgiri Hills had bagged the Best Film on Environmental Conservation/Preservation at 56th National Film Awards. He has found international acclaim in commercial as well as parallel cinema.
