It was an exciting day for quizzers at the Mettle Meet 2018 Preliminary round for Junior and Senior categories at a city hotel in Bhubaneswar. Presented by OrissaPOST, a leading home grown English daily, Mettle Meet has carved a niche for itself in the quizzing arena in Odisha.
Finalists from the Junior categoryconsist of eight teams namely:
Mothers Public School, Bhubaneswar
DAV Public School – CDA, Cuttack
DAV Public School – Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar
DAV Public School, Rourkela
Blessed Sacrament High School, Puri
ODM Public School, Bhubaneswar
St. Vincent’s Convent School, Balasore
Ravenshaw Junior College, Cuttack
Similarly, in the Senior category an intense battle ensued while many teams failed to make the cut by a close margin and the winners topped with a big margin. The top eight teams who move to the finals are:

- IIT, Bhubaneswar
- AIIMS, Bhubaneswar
- VSSUT, Burla
- KIIT University, Bhubaneswar
- Silicon Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar

OrissaPOST Editor Tathagata Satpathy welcomed every participant to Mettle Meet 2018 urging them to come and revel in the euphoria of quizzing and using the platform to enhance their minds and personality.
OrissaPOST CEO Adyasha Satpathy congratulated the teams who participated in huge numbers in the preliminary round and reiterated OrissaPOST’s mission to provide a big platform for the quizzing minds in the state.
The quiz was hosted by noted quizmaster Venky, who is a known name in the national quizzing circuit. A new format of questions was prepared, and the students were upto the challenge and very competitive. “I am amazed at the level of wit and preparation among the students of Odisha” said Venky to OdishaLIVE.
The Grand Finale of the event will be LIVE streamed on Web and Social Channels of OrissaPOST, OdishaLIVE and Dharitri from 2.00 Pm onwards on 1st April.
